465 clutch help!!

I am in the middle of a 465/205 swap with a manual clutch and i got the tranny and tcase in the truck but the problem is with the clutch. I have the rod adjusted all the way out and when i push the pedal in i dont get any response until the pedal is about half way down. So the question is what am i doing wrong. oh its a brand new flywheel and clutch.

I had to make a whole new rod with mine. Your local hardware store should have threaded steel so just take the adjustment rod out and find something that has the same thread count. Started out with about a footlong piece and then cut it down some after everything was adjusted.

yeah i had to find an obscure rod to use as the pushrod.it's pretty long. i believe part of it is because i technically have a hydro clutch fork.
