465 + Gear Vendors experience

Hmm... Not sure what to think now. I think both sides have good points. I like the simplicity of the ranger but it seems like that GV would easier to engage/disengage all with the push of a button on the shifter knob. I am really looking for the gear spliting capabilities as well as the OD and the ranger does seem more complicated in using that function with all the shifting that would be required. Any other opinions are still appreciated.

A GV would be better then a 4500 because you can tow with the GV, and its not good to tow in 5th with the 4500. Definetly an awesome unit. They can handle a lot more power then your 454 will have id think. We put them behind cummins all the time and havent had one break. Ive also seen one behind a 502 and 205 with with 38s and no problems. How much (#'s) do you plan to tow?

Would be towing up to 15K on rare occasions with about 8-10K average. I really like the cost of the Ranger but have to say the GV seems to be better design as to user friendlyness. I think I will probably wind up going the GV route due to that aspect.
