I recently put a 465 into my 82 blazer replacing the t350, now I get to do it to my friends 84 with a 700r4, is there going to be any problems with the manual clutch setup, Any differances between the two? Just trying to get an idea of what I have got myself into. thanks

it shoud not be to hard at all as long as you have all the hardwhere for the cluch. and if you are removing it from a truck-blazer take a lot of photos so you now where it all fits when you put it in the blazer. any ? you can e-mail me [email protected] not a hard swap /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif or post

I am not to worried. Mine was almost a bolt on mod. It was done in one night and used all the factory mounts, but I thought 84 was when they switched from a manual clutch to a hydrolic, and I wonder if the frame was changed. or if we are going to have to do any mods to the truck that I did not do on mine.

'85 was the change to hydraulic, so everything should be there for the manual in the '84, except perhaps the x-member holes in the frame, but that shouldn't be a big deal at all.
