465 shifter walking out

Everyday after 10miles it seems like I am reaching down to re-adjust the hold down ring. It will turn, then the shifter is loose. Which means during my shifting the shifter works the hold down off.

Anybody have this problem? what did you do to fix it??

The roll pins could be working their way loose. Mine was doing that, hose clamp fixed the problem.

Or you aren't getting it locked in correctly.

might have a weak spring or the cap locking tabs are bad post a pic of it out.
