hey, im looking to clear 44's or 46's and im just wondering what ill have to do to clear them? how much lift? how much cutting? and if ORD offers what i need?

You can get that size to fit without a lift if you are really handy with a sawzall. I ran 42" IROK's on a Ramcharger with only a four inch lift. I did cut out a lot of sheet metal to do it though. Chevy's have a larger wheel well opening than the Dodge's do, from what I have read. If you don't want to cut the truck at all then you are looking at a 12" lift from Superlift and a 3" body lift. I used to have an 82 Chevy that I used for mud racing and I only had a 10" lift and a 3" body lift to clear 42" tires with a set of Bushwacker cut outs on it.

On a Blazer I would say front axle forward, rear back. Tub clearance is going to be a big deal. Knowing you are playing in muddy soupy conditions you are going to want to keep the sealing up abilities of the cab/tub intact.

I would think that a 6" lift with good cutting will clear 46" and a little less cutting or less lift for 44"

Theres a lot to this that you need to spend some time on the phone for.

If you only do 6" of lift you will need to move the front axle forward at least several inches. With a 4" lift I can rub 37's on the firewall.

what about a 12 inch lift, do u think thered b much cutting needed with that?

With a 12" lift you will still need to do some cutting. As the width of the tire will still cause you some clearance issues while turning. The outside of the tire will swing in a wider arc than a tire that is more narrow. Usually the problem is at the rear of the front wheel well, where the fire wall is. I used to run a 10" lift and 39.5" Super Swampers on a 16.5" X 14" wide wheel. Even with cut out Bushwacker fender flairs I still was making contact with the rear portion of the fender well. A three inch body lift was also installed to help with the contact problem. On a side note the truck was not a practical wheeler, it was used for mud racing and that was the extent of it.
