49" Iroks with a d60 and 14ff

Big shafted rockies would look cheap if you had a D60 with superiors and CTMs and you broke it.

lol, it would be pretty funny to see some poor guy with an ARB, sandy cone 300m shafts and CTMs blow a u-joint and frag everything from the hub to the ARB in one huge fit of destruction. lol!

I doubt I'll ever be able to afford it, but a buggy with narrowed, high-spline rockies would be the coolest rig EVER. wanna run 42s? np. 44s? np. 49s? np. 53s? NO PROBLEM! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I'd rather have a lightweight rig with a pair of 60s or a 60/70 combo any day. Yeah, it'd be cool to be 10,000 lbs, huge, and have huge tires, and still never break--but it'd still be more fun to 'wheel something smaller, narrower, lighter, and just as tough.

no, Im talking about a single seat buggy with the big spline rockies (narrowed of course). sub-3000 lbs. that would own all. Might get boring never ever breaking an axle part, but hey, its all about the wheelin, not the fixin. (for me anyway)

Sub-3000 lbs with a V8 and rockies?

Good luck.

Spaceghost's buggy weighs 3,500.

think Tiny (aka rock crawling champ) but with narrowed rockies instead of D60s and you'll have some idea of what Im talking about. I know rockies are heavy, but with pinion breaks and some narrowing, they wouldnt be THAT heavy. 100-200#s more than a built 60 front probably. No biggie.

To further contribute to the thread hi-jack...

I know what you mean, I was just fawking with you. The point is that there is no point. I agree it would be a cool rig. I just thought it was funny that everyone was argueing an exact weight over a rig that doesnt exist.

I know exactly what vehicle Tiny is, I compete too and also have a comp buggy. Tiny doesn't run 60's, it runs 35 spline Ford 9" axles with the center sections upside down and D60 steering knuckles on the front.
