I've done a search and haven't found any specifics on this swap. I picked up a 496 MPFI with a 4L80E and 246 t case from a 03 Yukon and it's time for the 350/4L60E to go. I'm ditching the 246 and sticking with my 241 until I destroy it. I got the engine (complete), transmission, radiator, wiring harness, computer, fuseblock, and steering column and I'm dizzy with the thought of diggin in.
The issues I forsee are:
1. Transmission control - I have all the wiring and computer - just not sure if there will be problems shifting w/out the 246 in there?
2. 32 spline output on the 4L80 and 27 spline input on my 241. Can I swap the input gear from the 246 into the 241?
3. TPI and throttle linkage - I guess I need to find another donor for an electronic gas pedal?
There is probably a dozen or so other things I've missed, like fuel lines, moving the battery to the drivers side...
