My dad has a "P" pump off of a 4bt engine out of a bread truck that he is thinking about selling, And we were wondering what it is worth? It was gone through by taylor diesel in Nashville, TN. At that time they turned the fuel up all the way and set it up to turn 4,000 rpm's, But the pump was never installed. Any help would be great.

I get all my Cummins info from Cumminsforum.com ...there is a guy on there named Mopar1973Man...he is a badass when it comes to Cummins stuff...he also has his own website... Mopar1973Man.com....good luck

I can help you with any technical work on the pump or engine. but I have no idea what a 4b P7100 pump is worth on the open market. I don't deal in 4B stuff, only 6B. what exactly did they do to the pump. if they just slid the stock fuel plate forward and shimmed the governor springs, you could have don't that yourself for free.

www.4BTswaps.com would be far more suited for pricing info you're looking for.

Im not exactly sure what all they did internaly. the pump was set up for my pulling tractor(john deere):D. it was never installed because it was not a direct bolt on and we were not sure if we could ever get the pump to run in time with the john deere engine. They did tell us however that the pump will put out more fuel than any 6bt pump that has just a custom torque plate. it would be perfect for somone building a high performance 4Bt:eek1:

tell you what i know a guy here that has a 4BT in his wheeling Jeep and he want to hotrod the piss out if it. I'll let him know. and see if hes interested and for how much will depend too. if you can find out exactly what was done to it and what the pump was cc'd to on the test bench. kind of crucial information for a guy to know. you sure its a P pump and not an A pump right....just have to ask.

I am positive it is the P pump. thats the only reason we bought it was because of it's fuel delivery capability. Plans have changed with the tractor it was intended for and we no longer need it.

I called Seth at taylor diesel today, And he said the pump put out 180ccX4=720cc:eek1:. it has 12mm plungers. the bosch tag has PES4P1208120RS3379 AND 10402034701. It has another line of number's but i can not read them because of some paint.

that is a huge amount of fuel, wow. 720cc is double the fuel of a stock 6 hole P7100. There must have been some cost to have it worked over. why don't you take that as a starting point? all automotive P7100s are 12mm plungers though. the big 1000cc plus pumps are 13mm.

someone'll buy it. I would make sure the buyer knows eXacTLY what hes getting into with it though. IMO so theres no angry mob after ya, when buddy can't keep his 4B wheeler cool on some trail :doah: I can see it now. :doah:
