4bta in a k5

I haven't found much good info on this swap into a k5. From what I understand the 4bta from a bread van should be an oem fit. It would have a TH400 tranny adapter. So I just swap out the TH350 put in a th400. The engine would fit on the rests with out any madification. Then it is just a matter of the details like radiator cooling, electical and other stuff.

lol, they are in huge delivery trucks.
They make about 250 ft lbs, stock. not too bad for a little 4 popper

Hey talk to crawlink5 on here he has a '78 with a 4bt that he swapped in.

Thanks. I would think that a 4bt would be great on the trails and light on fuel. It could even run on vegi oil.
