I'm working on getting a rebuilt 4L60E for my T-10 blazer, and am coming across a variety of "different" 4L60E models. I thought that everything after OBD II should be swappable, or is this not the case?

Edit:
Gosh I can't read where I'm posting crap at now >:|

what differences are you hearing for 96 up?

only one I can think of is they might have gone from 4 to 6 bolts holding the extension housing on(not sure what year this happened)

all after 95 should be PWM , so........

The 1st-gen 4L60E is externally similar to a TH700. Around '97 they came out with a new one that looks like this:

That's what I thought.

Just in listings off ebay I'm seeing like "99-04" "94-06" "02-06" and whatnot.

And that's just for the 4x4 4L60E.

But theoretically speaking, I should be able to get and 95 and later 4L60E and swap it out with my current transmission?

(95 T-10 Blazer, 4.3 Vin W, 4L60E, OBD II, the 4L60E in the blazer right now is definitely the PWM type).

I've come to find out over the past couple weeks that 95 was one heck of a transition year for the S-10's :(

make sure it is from a 4.3L 4x4, not from a LSx engine, and u2slow posted a pic of the trans that is diffent, so, looks like you need a 95-97 4x4
