I got a round pattern 205 and a buddy has a 4l60e, has anyone mated these two together without buying a $700 kit? From the research i have done the 4l60e is 27spline and my 205 is long 32spline ( also have a short 32). Does anyone just make a coupler and spacer. I found tons of threads about it but most threads talked about different idea's of the setup but no one did it or had pics of it setup. Thanks

and the 32 spline input short or long is female.

the 27 spline on th350 or 700r4/4l60e is male .

so a sleave would be a pita to make.

and down grading the 32 input case to a 27 spline might be fun for the input bearing being to big.

that round case would sell good and let you find a reg th350 aplication 205 to have it all go behind the 4l60 . and 2 things for the output shaft will be aftermarket or a spacer between the tranny and adaptor . also heard this helps with c/v head clearence to pan if you run the spacer.

i have never see nwhat you are thinking of done in my many years on here.

You should check out offroaddesign webiste under online catalog they have a spacer for just that purpose. Its $120 with hardware and you'll need a 27 spline drive sleeve, and 350 adapter, or you can buy the shorter output shaft for the 4l60e for$160. They recommend you get the shorter shaft around a trans rebuld becuase you need to take the whole trans apart.

That only works on a small bearing 205 case, the 27 spline input for the 205 uses the smaller input bearing.

What year is the 4L60E?

not sure what your using the rig for,, but i used the 4l60e tranny, klune v ,so it would bolt to the 27 spline tranny, and the klune v was made to have the 32 spline output so it would bolt right up to the 32 spline 205.
it was a $1700 unit 8 years ago, (not sure what they sell for now) but if your crawling or trail riding it would be a good investment, makes your front drive shaft longer, eases drive shaft angles,

Im not sure of the year of the tranny just yet, its my buddys setup. After telling him some of this info he is thinking of finding a different trans lol

I spoke with advanced adapters because i'm in the process of doing the same swap. I was told I could use the stock adapter for the th350 to the 205, but the hub on the transmission side needs to be turned down. The coupler also needs to have .5" removed from the transmission side. You will have to have the transmission output shaft changed with the shorter th350 shaft ($152). Then lastly you will need to buy the 700r4/4L60 round to the th350 square adapter which includes the vss sensor ($250). Some might try to sell you the complete kit which is around $725, but it is not necessary when using the parts you already have. Fyi I have the 27 spline 205 so that is what i'm going off of. If you don't want to do that you might try to find yourself an np241 passenger side drop t-case from a 90-91 k5 or burb. Its a direct bolt on to the 4l60. 89 will also work but the vss is not in the t-case.
