Will a NP208 from a 83 k20 with a SM465 fit a 4L60E? If I can swap to the 208 I can use more of the stuff I already have rather than buy/trade/steel even more parts.

I know the 208 version of the 465 has 32 splines but will it bolt up?

:doah::doah::doah:I have too much stuff and parts and projects and ideas and thoughts and crap!

it will be 6 bolt round pattern so yes with the right intput it will bolt up,but a 208 has mech speedo so unless you devise a way to retrofit the 208 with VSS dont expect that 60e to ever shift :doah:

They are kinda harder to find arnt they?

I have a friend with a 79 F250 I should be able to get the axles cheap.
I just have too much crap around here, I hate to get more parts. I need to have a yard sale.:haha:

When I added TBI to my 81 Chevy, I had to add a VSS for the computer. Howell Engineering carried a VSS adapter that screwed on the transfer case at the speedo cable fitting and the speedo cable screwed on to it. There are several different VSS used. Find out which one should be used for a 4L60e. Dont forget you need a stand alone computer for the transmission to work.

90-91 241's aren't that hard to find. ANY of the old body style 4WD trucks that are 1/2-3/4 will have one.

Isn't that what the 700R4's are that are in front of the '90-91 241?

Either swap the case or go the Ford axle route suggested I figure.

Are you guys wondering what Im trying to plan out?

Sounds like a solid axle swap.......and it is, but it might suprise you what vehicle its for.:haha::haha::haha:
