I don't really want a used one but wondering if some one had a new one that you weren't gonna use. I don't know if year matters but it is going to be in a truck with a 6.5 diesel. Truck year is 93

The 6.5 uses a converter that is exclusive to the diesel, you don't want to put a gas converter in that rig.

For a 1993 application, the TC was the same unit between the 6.5L diesel and the 7.4L gasser. Redline and torque curve were intentionally very close between the two engines until they went from TBI to the L29 Vortec big block in 1996...then the TCs were indeed unique.

The early 7.4 used a dual stator design in the converter, stall speeds may have been pretty close though

Actually i remember reading or hearing that a 454 and 6.5 torque converts were the same..and had same part number:dunno:

In most aftermarket catalogs they are listed as the same but there are dozens of GM numbers and converter tag codes differentiating them and the subtle differences they have.
