I'm interested in the trans, if your parting it out still? I wouldn't need the driveshaft though. Any idea what shipping would cost to zip 08742?

tail shaft swap out = price of a shaft + labor & gaskets.
then a 6 buck part from the dealer for the oil feed plug on the tail housing.
but yes you can swap it to 4x4 cheep. just did mine for 40 used shaft local shop and 100 bucks labor and gasket/seal kit to swap out and 6 buck plug i swaped my self.
the plug is to feed a little oil to the bearing for the fixed yoke or slip shaft yoke bearing so it wont run dry. in a 4wd its not needed so a solid plug is used . if you done swap it bad things can happen.

I will get a shipping quote from Forward Air tomorrow, but the only thing is that it will have to be picked up in Newark, NJ at their terminal. I checked FedEx and UPS both, but you dont even want to know what they want to ship it.

Just talked to Forward Air and they said it would be $250 to ship to their terminal at Newark, NJ and that it would take 6-9 days to get there. Let me know if you are still interested.

Where is their terminal in Newark? I've never dealt with them before. Yea UPS and FEDEX can be pretty expensive. Not to be a pain but do you have a Roadway/Yellow freight terminal near you? They're usually not to bad price wise and there's one close to me, only 10 miles verses 60 miles. I am still interested.

Also I checked out YRC which is the combined Roadway and Yellow Freight company and got a quote from them, and it came out to be $425. Let me know what you think.

Yea that make of price difference would be worth the drive. Not sound like pain in the ass but few more questions.
1: Do you have any idea how miles are on it, know you said its a recent replacement.
2: What would it be shipped in? crate, pallet, tranny box?
3: Would you take $325 for it, plus how would we do payment. I have paypal.
Just trying to get things some what in order.

Not sure exactly how many miles are on it. After I purchased the truck I talked to the previous owner and he said it was less than 2k miles since it was replaced. For shipment I will build a crate for it to be shipped in. I cant come down on price for the transmission though, sorry.
I think this is a fair price for a tranny in such good shape especially since its a recent gm replacement transmission. I could have gone up in price since I discovered the condition of the tranny after I posted, but decided to keep it the way it was. Also for payment, I do have a paypal account. If you want to pay with either MO or a personal check, I will cover any shipping costs over $400 with Yellow Freight so I wont have to deal with paypal.

What I meant was that if you wanted to send a check or MO, it would save me time and money loss from the paypal fees. But if you want to use Paypal, thats fine too.

I had mentioned before that I wont be able to get pictures for a week, meaning Wednesday. I wont even be able to touch the truck until then, maybe Tuesday night at earliest. Will definitely get the pics for you though.
