It's been months since I've been on here and about that long since I've worked on this project, so please forgive me for my ignorance. Vehicle in question is a 90 V2500 4wd.

The background is that I have an 04 6.0L from a GMC 2500 HD 4WD. I want to get the same year 4L80E to mate with it. I found one from an 04 Denali that's listed as an AWD. I don't know what the transfer case situation in on an AWD Denali, but I am using the stock 241C transfer case from my Suburban...will that bolt to this tranny? I know the differences in the tailshafts of the 2wd and 4wd trannies, but the AWD is new to me.

I'm 98% sure that Denali has a 4l60. That's about as much help as I can be.

Crap, I think you're right. Or at least it's a 4L65E, but not a 4L80E nonetheless. I was under the impression that if something had the 6.0, it had the 4L80E. Looks like I was wrong! I probably just need to stick to the plan of finding a K2500 HD for a donor.

Almost any 91 and up 1 ton and 95 and up 3/4 should have 4l80's in them. I just bought a 95 3/4 ton burb. 9.25 ifs. 14bsf. Hydro boost, and a 4l80e in it. Shouldn't be to hard to find one although I believe behind an LS you will need a spacer for the older 4l80s.
