4L80e + doubler?

As to the computer, Diesel 4l80e have a standalone computer. It may need to have the shifts adjusted but cheap for a Junkyard.

well i am planning on swapping to a diesel, so then would that computer work perfectly?

He's saying trannys that come from behind a diesel have their own computer. So that means youd have to to find a trans from a diesel truck..

I think that is only partly true. Only the early Mechanical 6.5Ls would have had that. The newer electronic 6.5Ls included the trans stuff in the ECM as far as I know.
