Next time i've got mine off, im gonna find a shop to do this for me.
 
I'm thinking this, but now I have to source a bung to weld on the stock pan.

Drop the pan and see where you can locate the sensor without it interfering with anything inside the pan then drill the proper sized hole and weld a piece of steel to the pan that you can drill and tap for the proper NPT (1/8" NPT usually if it's electric sensor).

That's a great idea. I've got tons of scrap sitting around here!! I'll just need to find a 1/8" NPT tap now.
