I'm getting closer to installing the engine/transmission/transfer case. Working on the wiring now.

Team208Motorsports reworked the harness for me so the sensors will be connected to it. I'm not certain how it will connect

When I had the 350 TBI, I used a speed sensor that attached to the np241. 1 wire went to the electric speedometer from the ECM.

Also, what about the Neutral Safety Switch? How does it wire up to the shifter?

I'm going to use a floor shifter, but I haven't decided on which type yet. Will this matter?

The setup is a 454 Vortec w/wiring harness reworked by Team208motorsports, 4L80e transmission (2WD converted to 4x4), NP241.

Once I get the new torque convertor, I'm ready to move forward. BB18 is approaching fast and I'd really like to have this running way before that. Thanks for all the input.

EDIT: Nevermind on the speed sensors. I forgot that they are set up in the reworked harness. :doah:

Still needing info on the Neutral Safety Switch.

I have an Art Carr shifter, I guess Winters makes them now. I don't use a neutral safety switch. I've never had a problem trying to start it in gear. I know they do make a wiring kit for it if you wanted it.

On my 4l80e the NSS is a little module that slips over the selector shaft and has 2 plug-ins for the harness

Many aftermarket shifters have a provision for neutral safety switch, if the one you choose does not you can add a factory style neutral switch if you have the long style selector shaft. You can add this shaft too if you don't have one. After the switch is installed you can pin out the terminals and use it for both neutral safety and reverse lamp activation. I have switches and connectors and shafts if you want to go that way.
