4L80e to 203 adapter?

Noob here...

I have a 1994 2500 2wd donor truck w/ a 5.7tbi and a 4L80e trans. I'm putting the motor in my Land Cruiser wagon FJ60.

I have a 700r4 ready to bolt in(even has the AA tailshaft for the 203) and I am also using a 203 range box infront of my t-case as a doubler.

Here's the question...Has anyone put a 203 behind a 2wd 4l80e? Should I stick w/ the built 700r4 or try to get the 4l80(already attached to the 5.7) to work? Keep in mind this is a conversion, so wiring, mounts, crossmenbers,etc are all going to be modded.

PM "muddybuddy" He's doing the 4l80/203 with a modified th400/203 adapter plate to keep overall lenght as short as possible.

yep im going to be doin this very soon. im picking up my tranny and 205 tomorrow afternoon. i just need the doubler adaptor and triple stick and then ill begin puttin the 4L80E/203/205 together

Again, sorry for the noob questions, but...

In a swap situation, should I keep the 4l80e with the motor or swap in the 700r4? I already have both trannies. I'm a little spooked about the electronics of the tbi motor working w/ the 700r4. The 700r4 has been set up for a manual valvebody lockup(no wires). But, the motor will require a modified harness and chip. I'm prepared to do this only because I thought there was no way to bolt up the 4l80 to the 203...I just found you guys...Damn.

FYI - This is going into a LandCruiser wagon w/ 4.88's and 37's.
