I have a 4l80E transmission that needs as you all know a TPS signal.

Holley recommends never to splice/share signal wires (such as TPS, ect)

What have you guys done with EFI for the Transmission TPS signal?

I see there are for instance TCI Automotive 377450 Remote Mount Throttle Position Sensor, $250.

Is there another way?

I have a TPS splitter, picture, which I used on a BIGSTUFF EFI system but am concerned about Holley’s recommendation. I would prefer to run the signals separately, what do you guys think?

Holley Terminator X
Holley 4150 throttle body 112-587

Thank you,

Ed

I am waiting for the answer, I am putting a 4l80e where there was a 700r4

I’m using the HGM's COMPUSHIFT Transmission Controller for my 4L80E.

I found many TPS kits for a carburetors like the one I found on HGM’s website,

AccuLink TPS Kit.

But because Holley recommends never to splice/share signal wires (such as TPS, ect) I need a second TPS signal.

I may have to try to adapt one of those TPS kits for carburetors to my Holley 4150 Throttle Body.

was hoping for help here

Yes,
I have the splitter, and I used it on a BigStuff EFI system but Holley says not to use it on there Terminator X

I just realized on my diesel I don't have any electronics so I can adapt a TPS and use that, I guess.
I should look at the engine I took the transmission from.
Sorry for the derail.

There's no derail Bra, I appreciate you and happy that you will get yours going.

Back in the 90s, there was no bracket for the 4L80E TPS sensor for my Rodchester Carborator, when I asked Art Carr about it, he said "there isn't one & welcome to hod rodding"

One thing we are good at is adapting.
You can make the bracket if it doesn't exist but give it a couple of more days, someone must have done it already

Was going with the AccuLink TPS kit, then I found efiCARB on YouTube.

The AccuLink kit would have cleared the fuel rail but the efiCARB kit looked Sooo much cleaner and a lot of room on the passenger side of my Holley EFI Four Barrel 4150 P/N 112-587.
What do you guys think?
Ed

Doesn’t @mrk5 have a tps splitter?
Yes I tried that on my Holley Sniper setup and it didn't like it. I tried adding whatever electrical device acts as a check valve and it still didn't help.

I ended up using the Acculink TPS kit. We're also using that on my son's Buick for the 4l60 swap.

I believe the problem is that you have 2 separate ECUs, each with their own 5V reference and return. When you tie them both to the same sensor, you can push current between them and get unknown skewing of many sensor signals. If you only branch off the signal, it will be referenced to a different unit. Somebody could make a buffer to split it out, but I don't see something ready-made on the market.
