my friend has a 95 2500 and when he shifts into 4low it says its engaged but he has to hold down on it to get it to stay. im guessing shifter is just outa wack, but i dont know what the linkage is like on the newer ifs trucks...comon problem? any ideas? thanks!

Possible 4wd switch went bad? there is a switch at the t-case i believe that actually activates the 4wd, not 100 % sure, might want to check into it, i have heard of these switches going bad, i guess it's pretty common.

we fixed it..gave it a good kick into 4 low with my foot...works good now! haha /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif
