4wd NV4500 $500

can i call dibs? is it a external slave setup or a internal?

also interested in the 205. any info on it?

and i would like to see pics of both, would the 205 bolt up to the nv4500 the way it is now?

no it would need to be a round pattern, which it sounds like it is. but it needs the short input gear for the 205.

First come first serve, but you had the first reply...

I can get some pics later, it's supposed to rain here till the weekend.

IIR the slave is external on the pass side.

The 205 is from an 86 that I parted. Needs a little work, the shift rails are rusted together, no biggy if twin sticking anyways. It has the round 6 pattern, 32 spline long input. I'm not sure what all is needed to bolt to the tranny, like obijuan said swap to a short input.

You can use the long input 205 behind a nv4500 as well as a short input. The short input will bolt directly to the back of the 4500, you will have to notch the tailhousing on the 4500 due to shift rail interference. A few different companies also sell an adapter that will allow the use of a long input 205, it's basicly a 2" or so spacer. :D

I am only refering to round pattern 32 spline 205's

Spacer to bolt the 205 to the 4500 is little over $100 from Advanced Adapters.....REALLY need to sell this stuff, want to get a Cummins I've found before it sells!!!!!

Think it's from a 93 2500 light duty gas truck, 140-ish miles, shifter and bell, goes thru the gears good. No t-case, but I have a GM 205 with long 32 spline input I can throw in for an extra $100. $500 for the tranny. I can ship, my zip is 13795 if you want to figure yourself. No trades, trying to liquidate some stuff to get a Cummins. Pics if yah need, just ask.

I need to know one thing, if it's what I need I buy it and get it later so you can buy your Cummins:
Does the tranny pattern to belhousing match the pattern of a SM465?
I have a perkins mated to a SM465 but I want a 4500 instead, the belhousing is a custom and if it bolts to the 4500 I want it.

Nope doesn't match. I had one years ago that didn't have bell, tried a 465 bell and didn't work. The top two bolts will go in, but the bottom ones don't. I have it sold anyways....

OK since I have some info from your trial:
is the only problem the bottom bolts, does everything else fit?
My bell has room to drill 2 holes in a different location as long as the bearing retainer area is centered correctly.
Just trying to get as much info from you since you already attempted it. :waytogo:
