Wanted 4wd Trans tunnel

I have a very nice one with new shifter boots but it's got holes for a 465 and 205.

I used a utility knife to remove the pan since I was doing a quick teardown on that truck

@Babaganoosh
AMD, Auto Metal Direct, has a replacement transmission tunnel now available for '81 and up trucks. They have a a description with comparison photos of 2wd to what they offer.
It's $94.

If the link doesn't work, don't ask me to try again.. :D

I saw that, was trying to be cheap but will probably just order it anyway.

Is that AMD just the same height as factory 4wd? Seems like it but was hopeful it would have little extra clearance to fit modern 4wd trans as well.

Given how popular modern drivetrain swaps are now, im surprised there arent high clearance versions available.

Now that you mention that it is a little shocking.

It says that it's stock 4wd height and they have tested it with a 4wd carpet kit.

Lots of buyers who would want the simplicity of a drop in floor covering, is my guess.
And they probably don't realize what market is potentially there for upgraded 4x4 trucks.
:dunno:

I’ve got one that I think is a 208 hole. Probably be about the same as the amd one after shipping

Looking at it now I don’t even know where this came from. Looks like a 205 opening.FEF3C43E-2D0B-40EB-9F7B-6B78040A8F81.jpegEAD3F915-97EF-4238-B40B-FAE0AC89D1AD.jpegC11406C6-2797-4FF4-BDE6-ABEFE782E826.jpeg

I’m not sure how to tell, but I like the fact the shifter hole is there sense in putting in a factory shifter. I wouldn’t think there would be a difference in the floor for tcase difference.

I put a 208 in a truck that had a 203 (which I assume is the same as a 205 hole, looks like the one @obijuank5 posted) and the shifter fit no problem but none of the bolt holes to mount the shifter lined up so I had to drill new ones. Did not have to modify the hole though.
