it took a little bit of work and parts to get it in and running, but its nice. i had to mod the radiator support so we could fit the factory 4.3 radiator inside it (everyone said it wouldn't fit)

but it fits nicely.
here you can see where the radiator cap is

with the motor sitting in there, it looks like it will fit no problem

but once you get everything on it, the motor gets bigger.

we used a ford taurus fan, with the motor set back about 5/8", this is the clearance we have on the fan/water pump pulley bolts

we had to cut the underside of the hood to clear the aircleaner and the air cleaner stud.
here it is finished

we still have some issues with the TBI, but it runs nice.
here are the rest of the pics

that 1st pic looks really cold . but looking good i must say.

yea its a really tight fit. there was only one position for the motor to have the headers clear the shocktowers and fuel lines and such, and we still had to dent a tube on the pass side header to get it to clear.

being a 4.3 truck it has the bigger 7.625" rear end compared to the non 4.3 truck with a 7.5" rear end. (between you and me, i don't think its a whole lot stronger than the other :haha: )

we have a axle swap/manual tranny swap planned in the future :wink1:

right now when its cold, it'll lay you back in the seat at half throttle. more and it will spin the tires for a while from a stop, not to mention wheel hop. fixing that soon also.
