i am in need of some rear spring front eye hangers from a 1 ton 4x4. my truck according to the vin is a 3/4 ton but it has 1 ton hangers and axle spacing.

im converting it from 2wd to 4x4 and ive read that the hangers are different from 2wd to 4x4. thanks

different as in 3" shorter. and no kicker brace behind to the frame.

if you want just use 3" block or 3" more leaf spring lift or 2.5" flip and a extra over load leaf cut to a 1/2 thick spacer or a zero rate.

but yes there is a hight only diffrence.

i have a first year true k30 4x4 and it started life at the plant as a 2wd also. has 2wd hangers and had 400/203 with 2 peice drive shaft and carrier bearing. the short shaft section was like 12" long thats it.

thay used a 3" block from the factory with a ear cast in to them for the bump stops to hit.

im lifting the truck 8 inches. i got kerts flip for the rear, went to install it today and it doesnt fit since i didnt know my 3/4 ton has 1 ton bracekts on it. no biggie other than the delay ill just order another kit from kert and use the first on my k5 i have. i really would like to change the front hangers thoguh to the 4x4 version, since im already running a block to level the rear as it is.

Are you working on a 3/4 ton 2wd crewcab by chance? That is the only 3/4 ton I am aware of with a 1 ton rear suspension.

ur hangers will or should bolt right it if not u may have to drill a couple holes but over all it shouldnt be to bad. the 1 ton, 3/4 ton and 1/2 ton springs should all be the same with. so they should bolt right in.

the springs themselves may be the same, but not the brackets, leaf spring spacing is different from 1/2 & 3/4 to 1 ton. also the front rear spring hangers are different on the 2 wheel drives.

yes this is true but 1/2 3/4 and 1tons all have the same with to them untill u get in to rv's and cab and chassies, then the with starts changing with wise. as for the hanger being larger then the stock one thats a given, because 2wd hangers r only 8 to 10 inches long and so r most blazers, but the the full size 4x4 trucks on the other hand have a hanger which is the one we make, is 16 inches long or so, but the three inches that the spring sits off the frame is the same on half tons, three quarter tons and one tons that R NOT CAB AND CHASSE AXLES. gm made all there frames there frames the same with in the rear for one simple reason so they could use the same axle in 73 as well as in 91. yes gm did make small changes to the axles like extra bump stop pads in the later model 10 and 14 bolt axles but the spring perches didnt change with wise from 73 to 91 in sub., blazers, crew cabs and in the stander cab log and short bed trucks 73 to 87, if u dont beleave me find anther truck and messure the with of the frame rails in the rear and mesure the depth of the hanger from the frame rail and post it back on here and ill check my truck and ill bet u a set of my spring hangers that im right.

I will argue this one. I have had a 1/2 ton truck, 3/4 ton truck and a 1 ton truck on the family farm all with SRW axles and they are NOT the same spring hanger size. The 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton's are exactly the same, but the 1 ton is different.

hes right

i just when over to a buddies house and looked at his 4x4 srw crew cab long bed and i am wrong about the one ton hanger they r different. but what r u needing for ur truck the local salvage yard has a 88 crew cab 3/4 ton long bed 2x4 frame sitting out in one of there rows. i now own the 6.2 deisel and the cab off that fram, the rear shprings and axle r still on it and they r willing to sell the hangers. if u want i can run over there and get some pichures of the hangers for u, just to be sure u need the rear front hanger. because this c20 has 1 ton rear spring packs on it mines the over load springs that get bolted to the the top of the spring pack.
