Is there any difference between a 2WD and a 4WD pickup cab in a '71 (both auto trannies)? Seems like the hump may be a little different, but I'm not sure...

IIRC
All 2wds have low humps, expect big block truck and or ones with the th400.

All 4wds have high removable humps.

Can't say that, buddy of mine has a 71 2wd with 402/TH400 and has a low hump.

Hmmm...I'm trying to fit a 454 with a TH400 and NP205...guess I'll have to see.

Only the vehicles with the four speed transmissions had the high hump from what I've observed.

You should be able to find a large hump to bolt in place of a small hump. From what I have seen the large hump came on 4WD trucks and 2WD trucks with a 4spd.

And big block 2wd's.

Look at it this way...everything had a high hump 'except' 2wd th-350 auto's.

If you don't want to cut your floor to add a high hump cover, install a body lift.
