I'm dropping a 2006 5.3 into my 1980 k25. I know that 80 is when steering systems went to metric o-ring fittings, and that the same 16mm x 1.5 fitting will be on the new steering pump. Also the new engine uses a P pump like the old, so I could just swap the pressure fitting out if I needed to.
My question is. Do I need a new hose or will the 1980 hose fit the engine swap? The pumps are in roughly the same location, but without the engine in front of me I cant be sure that the hose will fit. I don't want to drop the engine in and have to try to find a hose that will reach. I have everything else for the swap to be bolt in but this.
Thanks.
