Petersen's swapped in a 6.0 in their K5. A lot of that information i.e. wiring harness should be the same. I can't tell you about the engine mounts and what-not though.
vortec swap
I threw in a 2002 5.3 on a 79 blazer every thing worked exelent, with out hacking the frame or crossmember like they did at petersens. didnt even notch the flexplate like they did.
