Have a friend looking for 5.86 gears for a Dana 60 and 14 bolt 10.5. Said he checked Randy's website, and yukon. Any others you recommend?

lowest you can get for a 14b is 5.38,if he wants to go lower have him find a d70 for the rear.

I thought you could go lower?... but you would need to grind out more room in the housing to clear the larger ring gear. Maybe Sweetk30 will chime in, but I'm pretty sure his buddy was going with real low gears that required mods to the housing.
No, sledheadak is right, 5.38 is max for a 14 bolt.
To the best of my knowledge there are simply no gears in production lower than 5.38 for the 14-bolt, and those have only been available for a few years now. Prior to that 5.13 was the lowest available.
I wouldn't consider the difference between 5.38 and 5.86 a show stopper by any means. The average person wouldn't be able to tell the difference even if they drove two trucks with the different gears one right after the other.
thay say with 5.38 you need to check the clearence on the inside case ribs. and some grinding might need to be done.
