5 lug and 6 lug 10 bolts

i got a 90 k5 with a 6 lug rear 10 bolt, can i swap those shafts in to a 5 lug 10 bolt, are they the same spline count? and how hard is it to swap the shafts?

The rear 10 bolts had two different spline counts. I don't remember the year cut off, I think it was around 88 or so............................

The '90 most likely has 30-spline shafts, which were only available from about '89-'91 on Blazers. If the 5-lug 10-bolt (2wd version) is older than '88, than is most likely has 28-spline shafts and therefore will not swap.

also the housing widths differ from 2wd to 4wd...the axles may not be the same length...
