I found a 76 Caddy eldorado convertable for really cheap. Will it for sure have a 500 or was that an option?

I checked autozone.com and all they show that year is the 500, no other options. I had a buddy that built one up about 5 years ago and it was expensive since aftermarket was so scarce but it screamed! Good luck with it!

If I remeber right all FWD caddy's came with the 500 after 1970--the 1976 year was the last for the 500 motor. I have a 76 500 from a coupe deville--been tempted to stick it in my 79 C10 2wd,since the 250 six has made some scary noises lately--still trying to finish it off! /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

The Aftermarket cadillac parts are getting much cheaper than they used to be, I highly recommend the swap, as my Blazer has a '74 472 in it right now.
