I'm about 75% complete with swapping in 52's in front, 64's out back.
I'm at the point of re-installing the shocks... not. I know the 2" lift shocks I had are not long enough.
So I had a hair brained idea I could use the rears in the front and then just get two new longer ones for the rear.
The nickle and dime stuff that I didn't account for, like the Dana 60 I put up front is kickin my wallet right in the butt. It's Christmas, and the wife's REALLY griping about spending money on the truck, but I'm trying to get it done for the new years day ride.
So..... can I use the 10" stroke rear shocks on the front?
I built a shock hoop, and it looks like I can change the mount, even use some Furd mounts I suppose.
I figured setting about 3.5 or 4" of UP travel, and that would leave about 6" for droop. Am I gonna pull the shock apart first time I drop the axle in a hole?
Who makes cheapo 15's if I gotta go that route. This is just gonna be a trail rig.
Thanks!
