how do i tell if i have 52s in the rear of my many parts trucks i have what should the measure sittin from center eye to eye this has probly be asked before but im on dial up right now and cant stand it haha also is there any benefit if i have longer ones than 52s in the front if i only have 56s or whatever just tryin to utilize what i got already and not spend spend spend

well as far as I know chevys came with 52s, 56s, and 64s in the rear over the last 30 years or so. So if your measure ment is close to 52 then there you have it. A 56 will have an offset center pin too.

ok so now if i dont have 52s can i use and longer in the front like a 56 is there any drawbacks or advantages to this.

Yes you can use 56" springs in the front as well. Benefit would be that you don't have to move the shackle hanger. Just mount the springs with the long side to the rear.
