I'm about to pick up some parts from someone and they've got a set of rear 6" lift springs but they're 56". I'm not near the truck to measure anything. Does anyone know what they came with? I've read I can change the mounts for either but would rather not change it up too much cause I'll probably go coilovers eventually..

Thx in advance

All K30's came with 56" rear springs.
Thx, I forgot to update this when I found the answer.

Being the 1 ton am I worried about the specs on these springs? I don't plan to haul much, more for trail and weekend Sunday driving.. They don't need to be heavy duty or anything, right?

Generally, rear lift springs are not as heavy of a spring rate as the oem 1 ton springs. How you can expect to use them depends on manufacturer and spring rate.
Generally you can expect to load the bed up with crap but not to pull a 5th wheel or something without considerable sagging.

Nice..
That's what I need them for. I'll have a bed toolbox, spare tire and trail tools. The most I'll probably ever pull are jeeps outta the mud..

Ok so after looking into it a bit I'm worried it may not fit. He said it was for 73-87 square bodies but it was ordered for a Burb. Am I going to run into any problems?.. I'm waiting on him for the yr ofBurb it was ordered for and a part# if he has it.

56" lift springs for a 73-91 burb are the same 56" lift springs for a k30.
They will physically interchange on to both trucks.

But keep in mind Burbs were split between 52's and 56's, regardless of year or whether they were 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton.
These are pro comp 56s, for a 6" lift. Everything I can find shows different part #'s tween burb/truck so I wondered if there were mounting or spring rate differences..

Rate probably, I found some 56" 1 ton springs that were rated 100 pd less than the OEM 52" 3/4 sub springs, rears. These are replacement, not lift.

13611 is cataloged as 6" 56 for both the burb and k30. It is 381 lb/in spring rate.

Thx, I tried searching for that but was at work and work kept getting in the way of my "searching off". Ya think 381 is light? Gonna be bouncy?

Thx again

If you dont put shocks on. I think that is actually a fair spring for a rear pickup. It will still be somewhat firm unloaded. Thats in completely relative terms though.

Lemme ask you guys opinion

Now I'm 2nd guessing buying these. I was going to buy a smog pump from him but he sold it so now I'm wondering if I should hold off on these springs..

A moderate wheeler, like to go 35-37" rires and don't plan to pull anything but maybe a small camper or boat in the future. I don't plan to start yanking out the suspension till next spring/summer.

Would you buy these 56" Pro Comp burb 6" lift springs for 250$? Retail is ~180/ea I think, I don't have a part#.

if me and 35-37" tires on a k30 do what i did here and be done . this blazer clears 37" tires and ride GREAT .

short list 4" flip rear axle back 1" via aftermarket perches . 22-547 stock replacment 56" springs with 2 leafs pulled ( see thread )

front is tuff country HD for the winch and bumper . 1" zero rate and axle forward 1.5" . ord hd shackles . crossover steering .

1" body will do but he had some custom 1.5" if i recall pucks made we used from old truck .

this is the build thread . skim it and take some points from it for a good street ride and handleing and great flex off road . https://ck5.com/forums/threads/3-to...-its-alive-and-on-the-road-having-fun.336341/
