i have a 85jimmy and my friend has a 4" lift w/rear springs that he thinks will work, i don't know where to measure to find out if i have 52" or 56" springs the kit has 56" springs, can i use the 56" if mine had 52"? any help would be great Thanks, Chris

you'd have to move your shackle hangar back the appropriate 4"s...

from ORD's site...

The springs are measured along the length of the main leaf when the spring is FLAT, if you measure your springs when they're arched, you will get an incorrect measurement.

what he said. Since there is a 4" difference though, its not hard with stock springs to tell when is which even if you measure while its arched. With super-arches lift springs it could be an issue though I guess. On my 52s I just double checked by measuring eye to eye. The measurement doesnt come out to 52"... but its nowhere near 56. ;)
