I plan on doing a 52'' spring swap in the near future and was just wanting to know if anyone has some spring measurements for me? I would like to know what the eye to eye measurement is on the truck with the weight on it. I would like the 47'', 52'' and 56'' springs (doesnt matter what kinda springs)? I'm trying to figure out if my custom rear 2'' lift deavers are going to work on the front of my blazer and if I can get my shackle angle right or if I will have to make different custom springs.

K thats the same as my 6'' front Deavers. Now I guess I'm more curious in the 52'' length springs because it seems like my 2'' lift rears seem a little longer than normal because of my rear shackle angle.

It's my understanding that the length of the spring is determined along the curve of the spring. Same dimension as if it was flat. Therefor when measured straight across from eye to eye the measurement will be shorter.

Robert97-
If you have a 6" lift 52" spring thats gonna be like 8-10" of lift when put on the front, right? Cuz a stock rear 52" spring when put on the front is equal to a 4" lift spring. Am I understanding this right?

My truck had 52's up front already. I put 5" rear lift 56" springs up front. Not sure exzactly how much lift I gained but it was quite a bit and I ended up removing the overload and one leaf.

I had two inch rear Tuff country's on my truck, good shackle angle, and i moved them up front with the B-52 kit from DIY4X, Left the axle centered for now, and my shackle angle is nice with a 6" shackle in the stock hole, if you'd like i'll try to get some pics tonight. If you get kurts Kit you shoudln't have any problem getting an angle and position that you like.

The thing is that I want to move my axle 2'' forward (using the front hole on the b52's) and still have a good angle on the shackle (not straight up and down but more like 45 degrees). I'm trying to use my deaver 2'' rear springs to get about 6'' of lift on my front end. I found in other threads that if you use a 2'' lift 52'' spring pack that the shackle angle will be almost straight up and down. I'm just trying to figure out if my custom deaver 52'' pack is any longer than a standard 52'' regular or lifted spring pack.

Sounds like it'd come down to spring rate. If your springs are softer then the ones you have read about then they may relax more there by giving you a slightly better shackle angle.

ive got 4" TC 52's up front and ive got about 8-9" lift with 7.25" shackles

I have 52" DEAVERS on the front w/ a diy4x b-52 spring mount. I had to come back 1 hole to the rear to keep the slip-yolk from coming apart. My shackle angle looks fine Oh , and the DEAVERS are 52"on the truck. 4" lift.

Wife got me with Halloween decorating last night. I'll grab a tape and camera tonight, but i figure you'll have to move the shackle mount up a bit from the sounds of your plans, but lets see.

Ok, Heres a couple pics, My springs are 52" along the leaf, about 51.75" eye to eye loaded. And i removed the overload. The Front eye is two inches fwd from stock, right under the body mount. That leaves the axle in the stock location. So like i said, probably want to move your shackle mount in order to get a good shackle angle with a 4" fwd move.
