Just did a 52" in front spring swap and used my stock rears for the project. I used a bumper that had new spring mounts already buit onto the bumper so I didn't have to relocate the stock ones. The truck seems to have the same amount of lift as the pro comp 4" lift springs that I took off but the thing is higher on the passenger side than on the driver's side. The Passenger side rear corner is really high, the drivers side front is really low. The truck looks horrible, like it's wounded or something. I'll take pictures tomorrow but any thoughts?

I have the same problem with my 56;s in the rear. Im interested to see what you find. I need to do the 52's when I get some time.

My brand-new-from-JCWhitney 52's started sagging iafter 2 trips out. I should have run bump stops :eek1:

I rebuilt the packs and replaced the 2 worst-bent leaves with a couple leaves out of a Superlift 4" spring pack and it's been doing a whole lot better now. Although, I still don't have bump stops :doah:

you runnin overloads?

From what I've heard and read, a real spring shop should be able to re-arch the springs as needed. As I recall, making sure the arch is correct is part of a proper spring rebuild.

Are your shakle flips in the same location?Shackles same length? I would just add a leaf.

The rear is what I took a picture of but that's not where the problem is. I did the 56" rear springs and the DIY4X shackle flip a long time ago and it's always been straight. The problem in in the DS front, in turn making the PS rear lift up. I also noticed something that might be the culprit. The shacke on the DS front is twisting pretty bad. I'm thinking that the spring may have been damaged during installation. The spring pack fell off my work bench when I was working on the bushings. I'll get some pics up tonight.

No.

I think what really killed the springs was a trip we took where I had some serious death wobble (after the D60/H1 swap, but before hydro assist) and had to drive 100+ miles with it death wobbling every few miles. As violent as that DW was, with the whole front of the truck rocking as hard and violent as it was, I'm sure that wasn't good for the springs.

Loosen the shackel bolts and the bolts on the front a little bit, flex the springs up and down on both sides, drive up a bank of dirt or something, then when it is sitting flat with the tires on the ground, tighten them all back up.
