Does anybody have a little info on how to move the front hanger? Lots of spring swap threads around but they are all 2nd gen which include moving an L bracket. 1st gens dont have it. Also can I use my rear springs off my 72 to the front?

Check out DIY4X. Kert's got a 1st gen 52" kit for the front.

you can also use a sky front spring crossmember that alot of yota guys use for full width axle swaps. check my build thread in my signature to see the one I build and how I mounted 52s in my 71

I know you've seen my build thread, but not sure if it helps to mention that I left my rear hanger in the stock location and moved the front x-member forward of the body/rad core suppport mount. Looks good so far, but if I don't like my shackle angle once all the weight is on it, I may move the rear hanger around or 4 link it :D

with my 5s and my crossmember my stock shackle hanger is in the stock possition too

Appreciate all the advice! Sounds like there is no real best way to swap springs except to just dig in there and do it. Ive neber ordered from DIY4X, always been ORD loyal. Is DIY4X make pretty reliable parts?

I've got stuff form both places and they are both high quality stuff.
