I'm looking to put 52's on the front of my jimmy. I plan on adjusting the springs with either an add a leaf and or stiffer shocks to control body roll. Can I use my stock sway bar with 52's and crossover steering or will it not be needed? I have a 6" lift now and will adjust 52's to get back lift. It will see a lot of highway driving and towing a boat. I worry about sloppy road handling and would appreciate any feed back.

crossover steering = taking off sway bar
you can keep sway bar with 52's if the axle is in the stock location
there is no reason to do 52s if you aren't striving for maximum flex, which you don't want for a DD/ tow rig

just buy some nice 47s if your worried about body roll.

It doesnt bother me, but i dont drive fast, or take turns fast.

if you want to drive all over the highway, and tow then you dont need/want 52s in the front.

My truck even felt sketchy with a 8lug d44 in the back driving on windy roads. I couldnt imagine the tongue weight, plus having something behind me

thanks I do tend to drive fast, and the towing idea was worrying me. I already have crossover steering on was trying to see if there is someway of putting sway bar on, but springs do sound easier. I have crappy a$$ superlift HD springs PO put on.
thanks guys

check out TUFF county ez rides.

Best budget soft spring.

Deaver or alcan if you can afford it would be ideal

not sure if you are going to want a softer front spring when towing

I have no experience with any of this, just thinking if you want the sway bar back on, a softer leave spring is going in the wrong direction. Those stiff ass superlift springs might be good for towing, I dunno.

I don't really know anything about this topic, but how much does your whole tow package weigh? Just thinking for myself in the future if I tow a small trailer for bringing dirt or gravel or whatever home from a garden supply....

i have 22' deck boat, its about 200-250 lbs on tongue. I am trying to build it for all around use.I live at the bottom of Big Bear mountain, lots of trails from here but still need highway use.
