52\'s up front

i know it was in here a while ago, but the search wasnt werkin out for me...how do you mount the spring hanger for the 52's in a first gen? is it the same as a second gen? ive already done a 52 swap on one of those, im just not sure how to do it on my new truck. thnaks.

i've been looking into that a bit. the front is the same, you just move the mount forward about 4". since the first gen 4x4s came with shorter leafs, the rear mount has to be moved. i don't think longer shakles are going to do it. it has to be moved close to if not right below the body mount. It would be easier to put stock length second gen leafs on the first gen. you would just move the front hanger.
