I searched and couldn't find any info on what I'm asking so, here we go...

When swapping in these spring packs, am I supposed to remove any leaves?

The reason I ask is, the 56 inchers are way heavy duty compared to the 52's that are on the rear now, and the 52's from the the rear seam pretty stiff also to be getting more flex in the front...:D

Search nOOB  :D :p: !!

Good thread! I want to know too!

It will depend on the amount of lift desired and the arch left in the springs. I just rebuilt my rear 56's because they sat almost flat at ride height. I didnt add leaves, but replaced two with some that have a little more arch.

Sorta trial and error to get the ride height you are looking for. My 56's in the rear have about 8" of arch siting on the garage floor. With a shackle flip and 7" shackles I have about 5" of lift I would guess. They are 5 leaves with no overload. My front 52's are not installed yet, but they have 5 leaves counting the overload flipped upside down. The were on Estebans old K5 with around 5" of lift.

:thumb:Thanks man! My 56's have about the same as yours 8 inches sitting on the floor. My 52's under the suburban now, have six leaves, I'll try them just like they are.
