Finally got everything cleaned up and painted, rear brackets all in place (1ton brackets on 1/2 ton frame), shackle sides made... put it together. Looks like the shackle angles will work out just how I wanted. Front is regular 52" mod to the front mount, stock shackle hanger location for the rear mount. Rear is 1ton front mount moved 4" forward and 1" down from stock, rear mount is 1ton front mount + custom support bracket for homebrew shackle flip.

Looks like a lot more work ahead of you. What made you want to do a complete frame off? Is this going to be a clean Machine?

I didn't want to do a complete frame off. It's not a resto by any means, I'm just doing a whole bunch of 'common' mods all at once, and I ended up with a bare frame doing it.

1) 1 ton axle swap
2) 56" springs front/rear
3) Trazer (truck cab on blazer frame)
4) 6.2 Diesel conversion

Doesn't leave a whole lot of the original truck behind.. thus the bare frame.

ROLLER!

Rolled it out of the shop space into the yard, just to prove it rolled. No u-bolts holding the axles in yet, but all the weight is on the tires. Also removed 2 more leafs from the rear packs... now they're about as stiff as the old short bus rear springs were.... which worked great.

sweet! another trazer! How can we get the moderators to make another forum for trazers and trazer related issues?
