How much work is needed to fit 56" leaves up front and 63's out back?

How much lift do you net and how much better is the articulation over a typical lifted leaf suspension?

I'm actually looking into doing this swap myself so from what i've gathered. You'll have to move the front perch and shackle forward and back and in the rear i think a shackle flip switched.... someone should be able to polish on my kinda decent description there. :wink1:

Oh Oh and the articulation is CRAZY BETTER!!!

Try this thread for some help it's mostly 52's but there are a few 56's in there too

search "63" spring swap" and a ton of stuff will come up about this subject.

On the 56" swaps I have done we left the shackle hanger in the front in the same place. We also moved the front spring hanger to about the same place poeple do for the 52" swap. It gives a pretty decent shackle angle. Since I have never done completely stock 56s with the stock mounts I can't say for sure how much lift but around 4-5

ive got 52s up front and 64's in back. for the 64s you can keep the front hanger in stock location, but it will move the axle 6" back. i opted to move the hanger about 3" forward so my axle is set up about 2.5-3" back. for the front im using the b52 setup, and im very pleased with it. with stock springs, both will net you about 4" of lift, sometimes more depending on shackle length you use

I moved my front mount to where the 52" movement should be and left the rear mount alone.Got thiis angle.

For the 63's I moved the front mount the whole lenth of the mount forward. That mean the front holes where now lined up with the rear holes of the bracket and redrilled new front ones. Think that makes sence.
For the rear bracket I did a shackle flip and moved it back just 2"s from stock location. Axle went right to stock center location.

These are both stock Springs and I figured I got about 4-5"s of lift compared to my old 4" Kit.Sitts a little High in the rear bit I figured with the top on and it loaded for a trip it would settle some.

If you go with 56"s, you can leave the front mount alone. If you have something like ORDs shackle flip, all you have to do is put them on the opposite side of the truck. Right one on the left side. It will allow alot more flex.
