56" spring swap and shackle flip question

I'm looking to lift my blazer and I found a good deal on a 6" procomp lift off an 86 k10 for $250. I was gonna get 4" rough country springs and do a shackle flip but this option seems like the better value. Since it comes with 56" springs I thought I could just do a shackle flip and pull some leaves out. Assuming I can just get the superlift shackle flip and mount it backwards?

I'm wondering if the other option would be to just take my shackle mounts and put them on opposite sides to fit the 56" springs? I can't recall how they're mounted and it's too cold and rainy for me to get out and look.

I had done a little bit of research but I still wasn't sure if a reverse mount shackle flip would accommodate 56's or not.

I didn't think Superlift (or other lift kit manufacturers) made rear spring shackle flips?

Your questions are referring to rear spring set ups, correct? If so, the factory brackets are not offset, some aftermarket shackle flip kits are and these can be installed on their opposite side to take advantage of the offset for 56's.

skip the rough country stuff = empty dump truck ride.

4"-up on blazer = c/v rear shaft maybe on 4" and basicly required on 6"-up . also flip kit on blazer its best to do c/v shaft in rear also .

just cause its a deal don't mean buy it . it could open a can of worms you don't want to play with .

whats your end goal of use and tire size ?

Yes this is in regards to the rear.

I have 35" Toyo M/T's to go on my stock Rallies. I daily drive it and want to do some mild wheeling, nothing crazy. I didn't think I needed a C/V with a shackle flip.

I was going to ask if a longer shackle was an option to get another 2" lift with the flip. But I suppose that would definitely put me into the needing a different driveshaft. Is the transferase lowering kit route worth anything?

35" tires and 4" lift are fine for mild wheelin . if crazy flexing watch the corners of the fenders with tire contact.

every 1" of longer shackle = 0.50" lift . . . so you would need 4" longer shackles over stock and this = NOT good to do at all.

Whats the ideal shackle length? or better, what the longest over stock that would be acceptable? I'm wanting to balance out the stance as the front procomp springs are gonna be 6". Maybe the better route would be to pull a leaf or two out of the front pack... I prefer 4" over 6" anyways...

Look at that. Superlift does make a 4" shackle flip:

So does ARW fabrication:

About $150 shipped.

RuffStuff also has one:

this one doesn't have a Chevy hole pattern, so you probably have to drill the frame.
