So whats the desired spring for the 56" combo? 1/2ton? 3/4ton? 5 pack? 6pack? looking to put 56s all the way around the blaze just wanting to hear some feedback on what you guys like the best pros and cons.

Depends on the truck and what you want to do with it.

You can always take a leaf out or add one back in if you see fit.

Not to hijack the thread but this is the same thing I was considering doing. Going big block and what to clear 37" tires with good articualtion. Will 56" springs on all corners get me there. I am sure I will need zero rates and/or a small body lift and trimming.

With lots of flex you're going to need to trim the front fenders quite a bit, doesn't matter if you stick with the 4" or so that the 56's will give you or if you get it a couple inches higher with zero rates and body lift after that.

Basically, if you want flexy you're going to have to trim.

56's all around and 37's works great IMO, remember that you'll need a shackle flip for the rear.

i have 56" rears from an 85 2wd 1 ton dually cc. removed both the upper and lower overloads, and the 2 lower leafs. so all thats left is 4 really long leafs. they flex and ride very well. also the spring clamps have bolts at the bottom instead of the top, so i just cut the middle out of the clamp, so the spring can come apart, but has kind of a ramp to go back together straight.
they are about stock hight, so if you will need a flip or zero rate for lift.
these are the only pics i have on the puter, but if you want some so you can understand what i'm trying to say i will snap some for ya
thats for the rear, i don't know about the fronts. prob can just add a leaf or even 2 to start with

My 56s came out of a 3/4 ton Burb... 5 leafs... Major flexy...

I've got a set of ford 57s that have 6 leafs that I might play with... Not sure what they came out of, some guy gave them to me and thought they were Chevy springs...

Thanks. Was planning on a shackle flip in rear and B52's up front. I dont mind trimming as the wheel openings all have a little cancer on them anyway. Might as well trim it off as replace it .
