has anybody run 2wd 56in springs for the rear iv got a set out of a 74 chevy pickup and was wandering if i could run them and what problems i would have with them ive got a 86 GMC 1/2 ton 4x4 im getting ready to put a shackle flip on it so i thought i would change springs while i was at it thanks

pretty much the most common spring swap in the books. the shackle hangers will need to be moved back an inch or so tho.

same springs as 4x4. the diffrence is in the hangers from 2x4 to 4x4. then the 1/2-3/4 ton is spaced the same off the frame rails. and 1 ton hangers are diffrent spacing off the frame rails. then to install 56" in place of 52" just move the back hanger back 4" to the other set of holes. 7/16 bolts are the size of bolts/rivits to hold it to the frame.

I run 2wd 56" springs front & rear on my K5. Depnding on which shackle flip you buy, you can swap sides w/ the brackets & not have to drill new holes.

Your sub should have 56"

Well I measured them and I came up with 52 they are still in and its kind of hard to do but they seem to be the same length as the ones from my Blazer which are 52's
