im thinking about running 56" leaf springs front and rear...why not? i know some of you have a good reason but i cant think of any. i ran 56"s up front and 64"s in the rear before but its so much easier to do 56's front and rear. down sides please?

I have 56/56..if theres a down side I dont know what it is

I don't see any down side either. You would be running longer than normal springs up front and out back. Sounds like a nice flexy ride. Not as flexible as 64's in the back, but much better than those short ess 48's

I run 56" front and the only setback I have run into is axle placement.Dependse on how much you move the axle forward. I ran into the problem of hitting the oil pan(with stock 56"), made a new engine crossmember and had to use a jeep pitman arm to correct my steering.

I now run 56"BDS 3" springs with 64" in the rear.

ok sweet. i will plan on 56's then. what size shackles do you guys run. i cant remember if i used 6" or 7.25. that true about spares fitting front and rear. i could even carry a spare on my rig for long trips... thanks guys

6" won't work.
Best way is to measure, and then make your own ones.
Mine ended up 8.25", but then I made a reinforcement between them.
7.25" will probably work without reinforcement.
