what are going to be the main differences in swapping one of these ls motors into a k5? im talking engine mounts, crossmember, oil pan clearance issues, etc......

also is there an advantage in doing the 6.0 over the 5.3. there are lots of good 5.3 swap right ups but i cant find any 6.0 ones?

In every engine swap write up, change the "5.3" to "6.0" and it is now a 6.0 engine swap. Everything is identical dimensionally. Bore, cam, heads, and tune is were they're different.

I haven't set mine in the frame yet but from what I understand the engine crossmember needs to be notched and the frame needs to be notched depending on the exhaust set up. Good time to upgrade to the ORD crossmember. No notching required IIRC.

5.3=6.0 externally internally and the heads are the diff. Much better for hp mods 5.3 is just easier and cheaper to get ahold of. Check my build doing a 5.3 swap didn't touch my crossmember and you can leave the frame alone with the right exhaust setup.

Good to know, wont be doing this for quite some time, but i figured I might as well get the research out of the way.
