more cone space more DB more bass more highs. A 6 1/2" would more accurate though in sound reproduction.

BK is right on that one. The 6x9 will play louder, but if you want fidelity go 6 1/2. A circle is a more rigid struture than an oval, therefore it won't warp as much as an oval. That's how it was explained to me. You can crush an oval easier than a circle. Speaking of shapes, anyone seen the new Kicker solobarics? They are freaking Square! I was amazed. (doesn't take much)

Those square kickers pound too. i know a guy who has 2 in his jeep, kinda pricey, but as far as I have heard, worth it.
