I've got a lead on a 6.5 MFI diesel (non-turbo..for now!). I want to put this in a chevy C60 I have, but I'm not getting a transmission with it. I'm looking at a 5-speed OD manual from an '80's Chev C65, and I need to know what I need as far as a flywheel.

1) I've been told a 6.2/6.5 has a different bolt pattern from a SBC, so I take it the flywheel that came off of an SM420 in a '67 C30 I parted out a while ago won't bolt to the 6.5 crank?
2) are the 6.2 and 6.5 crank patterns the same?
3) are the flywheels between a 6.2/6.5 with an SM465 and NV4500 the same?
4) anybody have a manual 6.5 flywheel FS?

-6.2/6.5 have the same bolt patterns as a SBC.

-6.2 6.5 crank patterns are the same

-can't answer your other questions

You can not run a SBC flywheel on a 6.2/6.5 though because the weights are different. Don't really know how to answer any of your other questions though...

I got my flywheel from local dealer. GM has a fix kit to replace what was
called the dual mass flywheel (it was trouble). Kit includes the flywheel
and pressure plate . The kit price was better than buying
the flywheel and pressure plate seperately. You'll need to check, because I bought it in 1999.

flywheel, 1 piece non DMF 12556799 (139 tooth casting #14050525N)
pilot bearing 14061685 (needle bearings)
bolts, flywheel 10085215 (might be for 1 bolt only, can't remember)

DMF eliminator kit 15029428 (2pcs, flywheel,PP and disk **)

Disk by itself 15029430 (10 spline 1.25" center)

** can't remember for sure if disk is in the kit or not.
